i totally agree that they put the power to the ground better and all, but driving a manual trans is where the fun is at. That, to me at least, is why we put all of our money into our cars. My personal opinion, dont take it too seriously. I never owned an auto so i guess i dont even know...

I totally understand i once said ill never own an auto but once you have felt an auto behind a turbo its crazy especially when you dont loose boost b/t shifts it pulls so hard no problem with your comment like i said i never thought i would like an auto

Just uploaded some pics of my hotside (exhaust) setup i was really limited with what i could do b/c the turbo iam using has a 4" outlet so i got a full 4" exhaust system from my friends diesel truck that he took off to upgrade to 6" it had some nice mandrel bends in it so i cut it up and this is what i came up with should be nice and quiet. The welds are rough i know but once they are ground down and I reweld them with my new argon mig that i just got back they should be ALOT better looking. and about 95%sure iam gonna just get all the piping redone once i get EVERYTHING mocked up so dont hate on the shitty welds.

I took off the whole front clip so i can start making my intake piping and intercooler piping and mount my intercooler(which i should have in the next day or so). I removed a few things i dont need on this car(bumper supports etc.) and i have ALOT of room to mount my front mount and my piping should go pretty smoothly hopefullly.

I think next iam gonna start welding and filling all the holes in the inner fenderwells and engine bay i cant stand all the hole looks like **** iam gonna make it completely smooth even the firewall and my standalone only runs like 12wires to the motor so should be a very clean engine compartment. probably paint the engine bay once the smoothing is done. iam going for this look dont know how close ill get it but this is what iam shooting for iam pretty good with body work and shaving door handles etc so i should be able to do a pretty good job.

WOW . All you have to do now is cover the exhaust with some insulating wrap.

You might want to consider a presilencer. THere is room for one right over the top of the tire. It'll cut down on noise and heat.

I'm with this asshat. A tweak for the MAF swap, and then dial back your timing a little because a small bore mod motor wants less timing than a SBF. The fuel should be more or less carved in stone with a small tweak or two.

Nice job so far, btw. Congrats. I'd go for built C4 or one of the TH350 conversions, which a lot of the SBF guys are leaning towards locally. I dunno much about fangling one of those to a mod motor, but that option probably exists.

Why not just dump the exhaust right infront of the front tire? So much easier and you dont have to cut body panels
