F22 and 14B, opinions?
Well im putting together a boosted F22 (actually g22) project with a friend of mine and we ended up getting a good condition 14B for dirt cheap. I just wanted your opinions on the turbo. Is it going to be to small? We were looking to make about 250 hp. Does that sound resonable? Also I do believe it would be a damn good idea to upgrade the fuel pump but how far could the stock one be pushed? Thanks!
Well it seems like i will be ditching the 14B. I need to keep it dsm since we already have a manifold which is flanged for one. I have found a B16G for a pretty decent price. From a little research it looks like they can make about 350-380hp. Anyone have any experience with one in spool time and drivability?
Spool time is awesome on a 16g. They use a 7cm^2 exhaust housing, coupled with the efficiency of the tdo5h wheel will work out very close to a .63 garrett equivilent, maybe a hair smaller. I can't say how fast it will spool on a 2.2 liter...my b18 was right around the 3600 mark when it reached threshold, and came on strong all the way to redline.
turbo question has been answered. as far as the fuel pump. personally i ran the stock fuel pump for nearly 2 years making about what your looking to make before it took a ---- on me. lucky i didnt damage anything when it took a ----.fuel pumps are so cheap you may as well upgrade.
