Exaust piping size question ct26/f22b2

i want to run a ct26 with a f22b2, taking out the cat, will 2.5in piping back be big enough to let it breathe? or should i go 3 in? what ya think?

my buddy had a ct26 in his supra and when he went to 3" it spooled mad crazy. nice turbo btw. kinda like a t3 with an internal wastegate.
