i heard .75" from head but that is N/A. but would u still want it there even if its turbo since a turbo would soak out some of the actual temperature?

Really anywhere you place it (within reason ) will be fine. EGT guages always seem to give people different #'s depending on where they are mounted etc. They really aren't a good "tuning" tool unless you know what the normal EGT's are for the engine. But, an EGT guage could be a useful resource to keep an eye on in the future after the turbo install and once you've gotten a feel for what the "normal" EGT's are. Then if you see any sudden changes you'll know somethings up

not really kyle, the turbo is going to make the reading so off, like if your lean for just a bit up top before you shift it would prob barely show after the turbo. i say its worth the $15 in drilling and tapping the mani to get good readings if you already spent $75+ on the gauge and sender.

you want the reading as soon as it comes out of the engine from the leanest cyl

the difference between a turbo or n/a prob location dosent matter, you want the most accurate reading possible
