Yes, I didn't mean buy their kit, they have been out in japan for a few years now, you can get lots of ---- for them. I thought about building one but decided against it.

Yeah I know... Echo's in Japan are like Civic's in North-America! :P The hatchback has been around since... 99? (I think)

I'll check Blitz out and see what they use... Maybe even TRD.

Hehehe yeah... modifying an Echo is quite a bit harder than Honda / Acura if for nothing else than the lack of parts locally! ::)

Anyways, I tried checking some sites for the parts used in the Blitz kits but am having trouble finding the kit for the Echo. I have a gut feeling that the Blitz kit is a supercharger kit rather than a turbo kit...

Anybody know where to find the proper info?

Well.. looked up the Blitz and TTE superchargers. Hmm... around 6000$-9000$cdn if I were to get it shipped ect..
Also... the supercharger is less power (although it's linear which would be nice ;D)

Where as if I play my cards right, maybe a turbo for under 2000$cdn... (if I get things from the scrap and buy some used ::))

Didn't know Greddy made a kit for my engine! I wonder if it will fit my chassis...

elprototypes has a kit for the Scion with the same engine, it's been in the mags and their is plenty of info. in the Scion forums, I think it's over $3k USD.

Personally, if I had a brand new car (been thinking of buying an echo hatch for commuting), I wouldn't skimp on too much junkyard stuff, I'd probably go with a log mani, with a small external gate with a 4 psi spring and a new Garrett T25. For engine management, an EIC (www.sdsefi.com). If you used an aquamist instead of an IC you could probably leave your timing as is. This is a setup I've been thinking about for a while. An S-AFC would work too, with a little bigger injectors, but I like the EIC more for a low boost setup since you don't have to butch the wiring harness, which would void your warranty.

Good luck

Neil
