DPFI turbo?'s

i have a dx with DPFI and wanted to do an unltra getto turbo build...i wanted to know how could i go about the fuel management...would an FMU work and what ratio would it have to be 12:1?

Re: DPFI turbo?'s

please do not use an fmu, your wasting your money...do everything right the first time, yah i also have a tendency to rush things and later regret it. Well ---- it blow this b2 to hell without managment becuase they should not be boosted there too weak. Then buy a decent motor for cheap, rewire your harness for MPFI, buy some dsm 450cc injectors, chip your new ecu with Turboedit or Uberdata and call it day :D

heres a pic from another thread somone posted, yes i was in shock too :o

lol thats the whole point to build an ok turbo set up....rape on it till it blows then sell the kit to some idiot on ebay and buy a new motor and start all over again ...i have an MPFI swap but i need an Pm6 ECU and an a6 dizzy to complete it.....the b2 sucks n e way mine as well kill it and have fun doing it >:D

Re: DPFI turbo?'s

yah, dont waste money on an FMU if your planning to blow this motor, it will probably go for a month TOPS then start on somthing worth messing with...dont forget to post pics of the carnage!! ;)

Re: DPFI turbo?'s

its better than no boost at all...and btw its better than the factory 98HP lol

Re: DPFI turbo?'s

you say that now....after about 3 days your going to crave more boost >:D i guarantee it :-* but either way you look at it, you will have some fun... BTW they only have 92 hp

Re: DPFI turbo?'s

lol stupid motor....but hey i want to turbo this thing so it will last about 4 months....i want to build the cheapest kit that is kinda reliable....thats why i was thinking about a fmu....and i also wanted to keep the DPFI...i wanted to build the kit for under $500...what do you think?

Re: DPFI turbo?'s

im sure you have seen this before but "cheap and reliable" are never in the same sentence..... dude there is only 2 tiny 240cc injectors that are pretty much mounted on top of a crappy fancy carburator...sort of, anyway i would say a mpfi car would probably go 4 monts + on an fmu at low boost BUT you have dpfi so i would doubt it, you will just run too lean :-\
