so i know a few of you told me to rotate the center of the turbo, so my oil drain is facing straight down, and the feed is up, but i was just wonderin if this oil drain feed would be cool. there is a kink at the top, but there is still room for the oil to flow pretty freely. and another thing is that toward the bottom when it bends, it kinda slightly slants upward to the oil pan, meaning that there might be oil jsut sitting in that little slump all the time. (which i could solve by just cutting the line shorter).

so yea, is it ok like this, or should i cut it shorter to eliminate the upward slope into the oil pan?

not gonna work out with a kink and the fact it is travelling up slightly to the oil pan.

LoL...

yeah, not going to work man... the center of the turbo needs to be verticle, or no more than 30 degrees from verticle. The oil drains by gracity, if there is a kink or the line doesn't slope gradually, then you are going to have issues...

My advice... clock the turbo so the oil drain is facing straight down and shorten that line up a bit so it's a smooth gradual curve down to the oil pan.

Good luck... don't worry, soon you will be boosting and will have forgotten about any install issues. It took me a week to install my first turbo kit all by myself, but once it was over I was soo pumped!

you can reclock it but if you just cut some of the line you'll be fine
if you want you can just scrap the SS and get a foot of rubber oil hose from
PepBoys for $1. Gives you more flex

I think if you shortened up your braided line a bit it could work. Put some type of brace on it if you want just to keep it in place.
