Do you like xs/ebay turbos/parts??

Ive ran 2 of them with 0 problems(both w oil restricters) one was a 57 trim the other is a 48(i think). I see them talked about in a bad way online all the time but have seen them lay down good numbers and be good turbos. What do you guys think of them? i know turbod16 hates them as does ht. Seen one put down 316 hp on a single w a mustang dyno. Another buddy layed down 270 hp on lsvtec with his 57 trim on 8 psi.

depends of the parts.. turbos wear out very quickly, i have seen one with 4,ooo miles and the exhaust wheel was ate by the housing haha, and bov's seam to be okay, early ones would leak, wastegates leaking and sticking, i have had a manifold from ssac. umm.. i would say 4000 miles at 10 psi on a 16g and then around the flange the metal blew out in the runners leaving a pen size hole. intercoolers are good and the piping is goood but requires a little trimming

Re: Do you like xs/ebay turbos/parts??

Only thing I'd buy from SS autoshit might be there wg's...even that's pushing it. Their turbos are crap, their fmic's even worse unless you like massive heat soak, their bov's leak, and their mani's crack. Nuff said?
Ghetto rigging is fine for you guys with your cheap Honda's, but when you have a $32,000 car you want parts that are known/proven/tested to be good and make power, even if it does cost more. My car will never see a no-name chinese power part on it...except for the catch can, pretty hard to ---- that one up. ::)
