Yep, I'd agree with that. It's really a band-aid fix for the fuel system...which is not the area you want to skimp on.

What I did was buy a pro-m univer maf sensor cal'd for 42lb injectors. I have the stock fuel pressure regulator which has been doing ok. It is vacume referenced, so it raises pressure 1:1. Timing is locked currently at 18* to be a safe. There is definatley more h/p to be had with a dyno tune...but for the time being it's still wicked!!!
man are you serious? you changed ur maf and using the stock fpr... 1:1 does nothing... guaranteed ur lean... matter a fact i promise you.... wondering how much ur boosting.

I'm now boosting to 11lbs and bumped the timing up to 20...locked. With the timing locked, the computer does not advance!I'm not running lean. I've read the plugs and the timing is still conservative. As far as the fpr goes, for every pound of boost, the fuel pressure raises along with it. The whole reason for the injectors and maf is so you DO NOT USE and fmu!!!

I scoured the forums and found my 3 1/2" pro-m maf for $180 shipped. The injcetors I bought used (very low miles, great condition) off of ebay for another $180 shipped. Like I said, if your going to spend any amount of money...it HAS TO BE ON THE FUEL SYSTEM!!! If you dont, you will regret it.

Considering a lot of people spend over $300 new on them...yes it's a good deal.
