yeah like sounds kinda almost like cracking your knuckles but higher pitch or cracking your hips, chest back etc...

i have this sound, but only in cool weather. no turbo either. its normal. dont worry about it. when its cold outside, it sounds like somebody is banging on my exhaust manifold with a wrench or something. sometimes its ------ LOUD, like every five seconds or so after i shut off my car. i think mine is louder though cuz my exhaust manifold is beat to ---- and old... i wouldn't worry about it guys, at least until your valve cover cracks in half...lol, just kidding. :P

 

no i don't think that the same thing because i've heard my exhaust ping before when it was cold but it was in the high 80's today and it wasn't just a ping, it was a LOUD *** crack.
but about my no boost prob, i think i'm gonna change out my wastgate this weekend to see if that's it. any other suggestions?

 

i think i might have found the cause to my no boost problem, i was looking at my turbo while the car was running (parked LOL)and i was hearing air coming from somewhere, so i started feeling around and felt a ---- load of air coming out from between my turbo and O2 housing. i guess the gasket material didn't hold up. could that make me only get 2psi?
