Yes and no. It's a common misconception that the bigger the turbo some idiots put on their motor, the more hp it'll make...not true. Now I'm not knocking a 14b's abilities, it's a pretty misunderstood turbo and can really shine when used properly, but alot of factors went into that project goodwill. First off it's a low c/r motor...really low compared to most Honda's. Second, 4g63's have an uncanny knack for sucking in tons of hot forced air and still producing results without toasting themselves. Anyone trying to run a 14b on anything larger than a d-series should at least change the housing to a 7cm^2 unit to decrease some backpressure. They have the smaller 6cm^2 housing stock in order to increase spool time and actually make some torque at a decent usable rpm in those low revving 4g's. I won't go into complete details, but I could write a page on info I've dug up on 14b's alone.

well we will see what a 14b can do and what the hf manifold can do, a testament to the hmt d series engine.
