I like D16A's and D16Z's equally, really.
I also like the D16Y head, but I can't repeat this enough, for NA use only. When you are going for a high CR big quench engine the Y8 saves you a lot of welding and grinding on the chamber, you can just machine on a set of PM3s and be done with it. The D16Y bottom ends suck in all respects, except as a source for stock cranks and rods *if* they haven't been damaged by the D16Y block/oil pump situation.

it will hold boost MUCH better, and be alot easier to tune without having a crazy high CR, and the extra displacement really helps.
