I'm sure you could, but you would have to make sure they are thick enough to avoid an SSautoaccident. I don't know ---- about welding or metals, but they need to be thick and of a tight radius unless you want to make a "Whitey style" manifold.

Yeah, my manifold was ghetto but low cost and is still holding up good. I used regular 14 or 16 gauge piping but I think its only still holding up becuase there's a ------- weld every half inch. With the inside ported the flow was very smooth.
I'm building a new turbo kit next week (hopefully) using real schedule 40 mild steel bends.
