just got my turbo in the mail, and i noticed some cracks where the flap for the internal wastegate closes.. will this affect the turbo?..

 

Just call it traction control

 

post pics if you can, they might get worse and than you need to replace the housing

 

exhaust housing cracks are pretty common in used turbos. post some pics if you can so we can see if they'll be a problem or not. if so, you can either get them brazed or pick up a used exhaust housing fairly cheap.
