That way you don't have to go CDM, but you can get what you want for around the same price. I'll do a write up if you want, or if you don't know how, I can give you instructions. As long as you have things professionally prepped; you can do lots of inexpensive Frankenstein turbos that'll knock ur socks off. ~$100 for the proper straightening, polishing, and balancing and then you do the assembly so you don't have to pay a shop $300 to assemble a turbo lol. It's all in the prep work which IMO has to be done by somebody with the high dollar machines. Anyone can assemble a turbo properly if they have good knowledge or information and are using the correct parts. All you need is a torque wrench, dial indicator, calipers (not 100% necessary), and some hand tools. Then take the finished CHRA back in for a VSR balance and you've got a zero mile Garrett hybrid for ~$400>.

thanks for the suggestions, tho i'm very paranoid about taking apart turbos, i'll rip apart anything else, but for some reason, i'm not comfortable with turbos yet...i'd prefer to just buy it & slap it on...maybe i'll keep sniffing around for now, hell i still got to put the new motor in the car yet

A write up on this would be great.

Well, my EBAYT3/T4 with wastegate is still running 200 miles later.... I am going to inspect it some tommorrow and make sure the bolts are all tight still in all the right places. I am running it with an oil restrictor.

You've been exposed to too many ignorant dickholes who own stock Mustangs, and not enough real Mustangs, or else you'd love Mustangs, too.

I hate mustangs. My ol lady has an 06 and for what it is, it's slow a hell. I really like how you find fox bodies with sbc/ls1 or ls2 motors in them. Kinda sad when even Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine says the Chevy motors are the way to go.
