isn't water injection were you're spraying the intercooler with water?

water injection is where you inject water into the intake air so it cools it down like a mofo and make your engine go faster with more type-r speed.

but isn't that a bad thing to have water going into the motor?

You just tap your engines water pump and have it cool the inside of the cylinder instead of the outside of it, that way your car runs much cooler in the summer !!!

BTW Its not a tight car, unless its a Type RR

Or a good excuse not to pay $7 per gallon for race gas...

Water injection is a good charge coolant but you mustn't use too much or you'll lose power. It's not a magic octane booster and has nothing to do with gas octane directly.
I'm thinking about putting water injection for 2 reasons:
Help keep charge temps down on the street as I have a water to air intercooler which soaks up in hard driving.
Keep the engine clean, I have a variable nozzle turbocharger which doesn't like carbon, and excessive carbon buildup can seize the control nozzles.

Is is a magic octane booster if you mix alchohol in with the water ;) You also won't loose much power than way...
