cheap, effective water/alcohol intercooler misting

Re: cheap, effective water/alcohol intercooler misting
I would just use the McMaster Carr nozzles and marine bilge pump. Bilge pumps are resistant to just about everything since the water they pump out is usually contaminated with oil, fuel and all the other crap that accumulates in a boat hull.

i am looking at the mist spray nozzles at mcmaster.com....it seems that one would probably want the standard nozzles v.s. the no drip nozzles, but if you were using your winshield wiper pump....which one would you get proably the 40psi - but would you get the 80degree, or 160degree spray
also how many GPH do you want to be running if you are only running from 10-15psi of boost?
i talk to a guy...and he said that at 60psi the nozzles are good for the following rates....
0 to 200 hp =2.3
200 to 350 = 3.9
350 to 500 = 4.9
10 GPH is for 800 + HP.

i was probably going to pick up the 3.9GPH nozzle for a 40psi setup.
also one more question.....what would be more water resistant - the brass or copper-nickle, probably the copper nickle.
thanks

You can get stainless fuel injectors, those are designed to work with alcohol. Summit carries some 160lb stainless injectors IIRC, great for running methanol
Also, cars running E85 (85% gasoline + ethanol) will have stainless pumps and injectors.

And your doing all of this to mist your IC and make it run cooler which means cooler air thus in turn more air per cubic inch and more HP? Do I got it? I know. Such a newb.

just strap kain to your front bumper with a little squirt bottle.
honestly tho, you ought to just get a junkyard windshield washer system, pump, bottle, hoses, nozzle, all of it, and power it with a switch by hand, or a pressure switch of some sort so it kicks on in boost.
just be careful with these types of ideas.
if you're in a drag strip and you're dripping water in the staging lanes or getting their track wet, they're gonna rape your girlfriend and kick you outta the track. :P
