charge pipe size?

charge pipe size?
i'm planning on not modifying my starion fmic. the charge pipes are 1.75" and i will be using a combination of starion/mitsu pipes and rubber hose. boosting d16y7 w/ td04 from '02 wrx, 8psi safc/dsm hack, mitsu bov. is this a good idea? or should i modify and go with 2.5"?
