I doubt the C5 kill, but C5 don't make 400/400 at the crank. 300-ish to the wheels, maybe. It was probably a slow 6 spd car, those noticeably slower and put less to the wheels than the autos for GM knows what reason.

Okay some food for thought.................

since you didn't READ my post.... NOT a Z06....... ::)

because you have NO idea what your talking about.............. lets weigh some options here....
then I guarentee you will change your previous statement.....

Stock car weight (cavalier) 2700lbs.....

My curb weight (cavalier) 2350lbs.....

so lets just say 1 tenth for every 100 lbs.......

next... I think you are getting mixed up by when I said C5.... all that means is a model year........

320BHP & 340 BTQ...........weighing in at 3248lbs.......

so lets say 15% drive train loss.....

272WHP & 289 WTQ weighing in at 3248lbs with a young 25 year old behind the wheel of this corvette

231WHP & 241 WTQ weighing in at 2349lbs....2001 2200 turbo :y

so this works out to about a 1000lbs weight difference.... that alone is good for 1 second in the 1/4......

corvette runs 13.7 1/4 with a GREAT driver perfect run 6 speed manual.....
cavalier runs 14.1 - 14.0 1/4........@ 6psi...... without the new 3" mandrel exhaust I got.... (Side exit, no cat, no muffler) weighed 2450 at the time of the runs ........

DO THE ------- MATH PEOPLE.... AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN ADD................ :8

I ran the corvette at 10.8 psi and had the 3" exhaust on the car.........

I know another guy running 14 psi.... he pulls 4 cars on corvettes with the same set up as me ... and I have more work done then he does.......bolt on wise.....
I'm lighter with almost the same hp as the vette

and a WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY higher whp/weight ratio....

do the math before you go calling bs on a car you have never seen.............

I drive on the street gutted to ----, with the 3" exhaust spitting flames and all............... :6

DON'T FOX WITH ME ;)

did you not read the post above with all the OTHER things I have besides the turbo set up .....
I have EVERYTHING but a motor.... which is in my basement............. being built... slowly but surely......

we need video confermation. i still cant envision that 2.2 ohv rattle trap to be quick. they are so incredibly crude.

feed me all the facts you want i still dont believe you. Besides, street racing is for fricking retards that are just waiting to kill them selves or worse some else, so please go die in a fire.

230 whp 240 tq is d series ish. a d series on 11 psi will not beat a vette. and the curb weight of a ef civic with a d series on 10 psi is less than your cavy.

now lets toss in the shitty gear ratios you have in your transmission. game over.

The newer vortech 2200 engines are not rattle traps. And no im not talking about the ecotech dohc. My 2200 in my 01 s10 is flex-fuled and can run of E85 (ethonal) or gasoline and already has 180,000miles with 0 problems running 100% and can go up to 250,000+ miles easy. They fixed the issues with the timing chain rattle, headgaskets, sidefeedinjectors, ect and it has a nice obd1 fuel injection system similar to hondas.

It may be ohv, but it is a large 2.2 that can torque threw those "crappy" gears even in my extened cab, extended bed,3 door, 4speed auto,on dubs nigga.

W0rd. I thought Corvettes were in the 12s? 13.7 isn't fast for a sports car.

I'm not going to doubt your victories, but you cannot take the weight loss thing to heart. With every pound you lose, that is less traction available, unless you somehow managed to drop 350lbs while keeping the weight distribution in the front wheels constant. So you may know this, but the way you wrote did not seem like it. Weight loss in a racng vehicle is not always a good thing. Your tires depend on a certain amt of weight.

I doubt he's stripping the turbo off his engine to save weight, so there's plenty of lard over the front tires, bubba.

You've obviously never gutted a FWD; short of a few accessories like AC that mean dick in the total outcome, 95% of the weight comes from mid-vehicle back. Think about it.
