this all depends on the welds.. did you really just ask that?

You want to know if a manifold that you haven't made yet, that we don't know how you plan to make or what you plan to make it out of, will crack when supporting a heavier-than-your-average-unit 40 lb turbo?

You have to build it stout, and you have to brace it. The turbo needs to bolt DIRECTLY and SECURELY to the engine, as secure as the transmission bolts to the engine, without a bit of the manifold in place. The manifold CANNOT support a turbo that heavy on a dynamically unbalanced 4 cyl without failure. However, once the turbo is fixed in position you might have to get crafty with the anifold design to keep it from cracking due to thermal expansion and stuff.

Welcome to DIY. Have fun.

Or actually make a DIY topmount, fix it or redesign it when it breaks, and learn/grow/become something other than a n00b. There are two paths at hand, here.

to answer yyour question about the t3/T67 turbo, yes it's a good idea make it spool quicker but it's difficult to do it because t67's are "Big shaft" turbos from turbonetics, not really compatible with everyday's t3/t4 turbos.

But we can very well do T3/GT35 that would look exactly like a regular T04s 60-1 except that the compressor wheel would be 2.47mm larger at the inlet and 5.8mm larger at the exducer. Spool up is nothing to worry about because you can choose any turbine trim and A/R. Provided you choose a proper turbine side, you can make as much power as a "real" gt35R since it's the same wheel.
