Default Burned coil, 90 LS

My brothers car started running like ----

kept spitting a MAP sensor code every 15mins of driving.

replaced the hoses, bypassed purge solenoids...

same ----

opened up the cap. and there it is. coil was burned to ----. ive never seen a coil burned like that before and expecially with a stock car.

any ideas?

Burned = Excessive current.

Grounding issue.

I had that happen on my 89 4-door. Replace the cap/rotor/coil.
