Default installed 450s, burned new chip, still runs like ***.

I can't figure this ---- out, I got my 450s in there so I know the injectors are sealing, I have my stock map sensor so I know that's not a problem, but my car still runs like complete ----, any ideas? I'm just going to keep trying different b16 with 450s maps I find on the uberdata forum, let me know if you have anything good.

probably b/c you don't have an o2 sensor :P use the one i sent you and rescale it to 450's. it runs great with 450's, i assure you. what do you expect running no o2 in open loop all the time :P

that one seems to do alright, but it doesn't idle too good, it kept dying on me and I'm recharging the battery right now. I'll try out the map you gave me whenever the battery is done charging.

also, it still smokes like hell and the tach doesn't work, but the afc gives me rpm readings and the tach is hooked up just fine. it seems like the afc is giving low numbers though, it seemed like I took it to the 4k launch control, but the afc only showed about 2k, maybe it's in 8 cylinder mode, I'll check it out.

I run open loop 24/7 and my car runs and idles fine. Tune the map it will be fine.

i think you need to fix your ghetto *** setup before worrying about what bin to burn.
With 450s on my d16 i had a VERY large area to play with where the car would run smooth but i know it was pig rich.

Something besides your map is fucked up in this case. Fix that then worry about a bin

I agree. So Kyle, who chipped your ECU and made that conversion harness? :P I'd ask that guy what he fucked up.

No I had the same problem with my car. The conversion harness sucked *** on it. I ended up putting a new chassis harness in it from an Si. If you don't have the wiring right on it it runs in limp home mode. Which basicly runs really rich and it think that it has 240's in there instead of 450's. thats why it runs real rough and has black smoke coming out of the tail pipe. Mine did the same thing. If you put the 240's back in it will fix most of the problem with it running really rich. But that won't fix your problem. Thats just a bandaid. You have to fix your O2!

it's pretty hard to ---- up chipping an ecu, so I don't think that's the problem. I should cut the electrical tape off my conversion harness and start checking ----. how do I check what my check engine light is? I don't have a little jumper plug thing in my car. also, i don't think the ecu is running like it has 240s because I had 690s in there and it still ran pretty much the same as it does now.

main question: how do I check my cel on an obd converted car that went from 0 to 1 and has no jumper thing?
