Meh, no need to take it the wrong way, but I'm willing to spend 300 bucks to get a better base. The only reason I was playing with D engines is because I could pick up what people were throwing away. I still am, LS parts are just as cheap.

sorry but not ONCE did i ever say i was selling that car because i wasnt sure it would last...as a matter of fact the car was NOT for sale when drunkinmaster approached me...but money talks and he talked loud lol im 110% positive that the motor i built will outlast any stock b18b...and good luck getting 400whp from a ls motor and not spending 3-5k on it. hp for hp and dollar for dollar there is NOTHING out there than can compete with a vitara eagle built d-series motor...i repeat NOTHING. hell the money you spent on the ls swap, i built the vitara motor and had enough money left over to take the homies to the bar and buy drinks all night long. i was into that motor 540 bucks TOTAL. i was into the turbo kit 1400 TOTAL...you show me any platform that you can make 400+whp for 2g's....aint gonna happen.

the man does have a point .

if you want alot of power for cheap and could care less about head limitations then the vitara D is the way to go, but if you want to spend twice as much for the same power just to say you can go more if you want to then the LS turbo is it.

and the discussion of the ls having more potential is bs as well. cause the ls head flows worse than the d16. so you spend all the money on a big turbo setup, built block, and your still limited by the shitty ls head and cams...same boat as the d16 (but at this point the d still makes more hp and cost 1/2 as much)...but by the time you buy a set of cams, and intake mani for your ls, i could buy a cam, fully p&p head, springs retainers, intake mani, enough ---- to make power to 9k and make more hp and more tq than an ls...anyway you look at it d16>ls anyday of the week and 6 times on thursday.

you never said on d-series or any honda forum you wanted 10s which helped in parting with the car?

also i never said the ls route was cheaper, i said to just get the ls swapped into my car (NOT BOOSTED!) would cost as much to build the bottom end and throw some headstuds in my z6 and all the little stuff (gaskets, etc.)

i did say "besides on a stock motor i can make 3/4 of what you make on a built motor."

on a settling note of course if i spent the $ that i spent on the ls swap i can make more power with the z6 i ALREADY have, i just wanted a change from sohc. this is my daily driver and right now i dont have the time or money to deal with a motor put together by me, first motor put together by me that is.
