Re: brake hard lines for turbo oil?

Ive used a hard oil line on my turbo for about 2 years now, works really well. The block fitting is a tunertoys. Flared it my self and used 1/4 fittings.
The return line i use is heater hose, its really-really ghetto but works.

I used the hard break line on my trofeo, it worked well and never leaked and was the cleanest part of my setup. The ------- return line did though (it was not a hard line, but shitty hose, should have known)

wonder if you could use one of these? would be perfect cuz it has a 1/8th NPT fitting on it, you could just throw a T in the line and put it right on the T instead of having a shady ass nylon line remote mounting it...

Only question I would have is can it take the heat. thats a fuel gauge.

That's exactly what I use for mine, except I hid the adjuster behind the block so no one could ---- with it and mounted the gauge below my radio;)

Personally I think hard lines are gangster, but it's easier to just slap a braided SS line on.

I like the idea of using a hard line. How much does one of these setups end up costing between the fittings and the line? I like fubars setup, very clean.

Re: brake hard lines for turbo oil?

around $20 is all

the trick is taking the banjo bolt peice of your turbos stock feedline match the line size with that at napa and connect them with a compression fitting. take your oil sending unit with you to to make sure your buying the right thread and size on your T fitting off the back of the block and grab little fitting that has the right thread to into your T fitting on one side and a compression fitting on the other, the will connect the brakeline to the T off the back of the block then run the hardline to the turbo and connect it to the compression fitting coming off the turbo feedline.

and thread your sending unit into the open hole in the T and your done.
