I have never used that turbo, but its almost a garuentee that it will not hold boost till redline. try a .48/.60, you'll be happy you did :y

Okay im sick of typing my setup out, but i DO have a boosted f22 (b1) (you can search my posts and find out more if you like, Ive typed it in lots...) not tryimg to be a dick... im just lazy...LOL

I run a t3/04e 48/60 ar 57 trim, stage 3 wheel... @ 10psi 260 whp/270 tq...of course there is much more to the power ya get than just the snail, but.. the turbo im using supports 400-425 hp (should your goals change...and they will!!!). this is on a conservative tune too.... Id sya that turbo is a tad on the itsy bitsy side.... But JMO. I get full boost by 33-3500, and it pulls like a train till 6500.

In short i KNOW for a fact that a turbo like the one im using would make you a very very happy man!!! O0

Hmm ya im gonna go with a t3/04e sounds like a good turbo :) and when my goals do change i wont have to upgrade it ;) another question is, should i get internally gated one or get an external gate?

thanks guys :6

If I were you Id run the external. If you have the money you cant beat a TIAL... Im running one of their 38mm units with .5 bar spring (im using a Hallman pro RX Manual Boost controller to controll boost levels) LSD motorsportsmakes great manifolds too... plus great customer service, deals for the more ya buy too, btw they have tial stuff in stock..

if all you want is 190whp you dont have to change anything. the turbo you have now will more than support that. people make more than that on 14bs.

im running a t3 60 trim .60 compressor side and .48 exhaust. it was good enough to get 245whp and 241tq (on a f22b1) @10psi.

for the wastegate, if you have the maney then go external. if not internal will do fine.

I'm in the process of building a kit for my f22a1. I'm pretty pissed though my turbo came today it was supposed to be a stock 16g from an 04 evo turns out it's a blown 16g from a 90s talon :7

I bought insurance from paypal though and should get my cash back.

But yeah like these guys are saying you need at least 48/60 t3 to be happy.

if you stick with a T3 at least get a 60/63 it rips pretty good for sub 300whp apps

I Agree, the turbine is pretty small for your app. It will spool up really quick but it probly won't pull all the way to redline. I had one that was too small on my B16 at first too. It was frustrating, it would pull hard until 5500 and then just stop pulling. It's plenty of turbo to make the power, but the turbine is soo small you won't get to use all the motor. For that motor, I would suggest at least a .48 stage 3 or a .63 a/r turbine. As for the compressor, a 60trim will make your power goal. But as the sun rises, you WILL want more power. Get a Hybrid. T3/T04b or T3T04e with at least a .50 trim compressor. You will be happier with the way it "hits" too.
Put yours up on ebay, you should probly be able to come close to an even trade for a better turbo for your application. Who knows, mabe someone on here has one they would like to trade.
