Default boost spike after gear shifts?

boost spike after shifting gears, 1st gear ill start out at 8psi for one sec and drop to 5, same for all gears as soon as i get into gear it spikes to 7 then drops to 5, does ti sound more like a vacuum leak problem or a wastegate problem? I shortened the wastegate a bit before and also I use a mbc. The wastegate vac line is coming from the turbo nipple, should I T off something from the intake manifold as a vacuum source? Will running a mbc on a vac source from the intake manifold be bad sence it leaks off air?

It just sounds like an good old fashioned boost spike. Get a better wastegate, or get an ebc.

Your waste gate is laging.
Your manual controler is just exagurating the situation.

This is what you need to try.
1. Dump the manual boost controler.
2. Reference your waste gate to a better spot
