when I shift from 3rd to 4th gear
the boost gauge will jump from 3psi to 5psi within a second & start back to 3psi as I'm WOT in 4th,
the line may be kinked.....(inserted through the firewall up under everything)...but its the hard plastic type line,,,when I installed it I made sure it didnt kink)

but it doesnt feel like I'm getting much boost at all....
I'm getting 1.5 to 2psi at the IM

3psi when I put the boost gauge to the compressor....

Take off the wastegate and put on a blockoff plate.

Get another boost gauge or datalog off the stock MAP sensor to see what's really going on, it sounds like your gauge is a little dicey.

Your exhaust isn't restrictive enough to choke it off that much, especially with a turbo that small.

^sweet!!!

tonight or tomorrow morning I'm blocking off the WG,
I dont hear it open,
but thats the only other thing I can think of is it,
I HAVE put my finger inside the wastgates piping & had black sue-it <~(however) on my finger...

it may be leaking,
I'll block it off asap!

I dont have another boost gauge thou,
I can double check to see if its kinked....but it probably isn't,
being that at idle it sits at 20 in vacuum..

try taking your air filter off for one run my was clogged so bad one time
that i couldn't make more than 3 psi. then you just have to look
for a boost leak in your pipes and couplers. but with a 3 psi spring in your wastegate
i would say your boost controller is not working.

i Have an ebay BC...
but shouldnt the boost gauge read crazy numbers if I connected the gauge to the turbo?
no matter what leaks I would have in the piping?

I believe its the WG & I'm going to check today
