i love how this thread keeps getting bumped from the dead. I should probably take it out of my sig.
Anyway, Did you mean boost? Im getting a turbonetics t3/t4 that i'll probably push to 16-17 psi.. once i get a manifold and some bigger injectors. My liscense is suspended untilll september so im not in too much of a rush to get it running again.

yep... with way more on there now then ever before. I'll have to get some updated pics. Im breaking in my newest engine now. Y8 block, z6 crank and head and NO BLOCKGUARD!!!

yep, went through 2 engines because of them. In my traditional fashion, i always learn my lesson after the second time. My engine in the car now is built ------- right, low mileage y series block. I think you need this with the vitaras becuse of the wide vitara piston to wall clearances which eventually throw your ring end gap out of spec. My bore was dead ***** stock and i still ended up with .021" on the top ring.

if youre using a y7 or y8 make sure to do the oilpump mods found on energy dynamics. these mods include porting the oil passages to raise the flowrate, and shimming the relief valve to increse pressure. obd2 d-sereis motors are well known for spinning bearings because of theis shitty oilpumps.

their reputation for shitty oil pumps is actually their shitty crankshafts. The oil pump is not really much different than a z6 one. The oil journals in the z6 crank though, are much better champhered round holes. My car has 65psi at 3k and 25 at idle
