no regrets what-so-ever. id much rather spend 120 on vitara pistons than spend 450 on a set of forged ones that will do the same thing. its holding up just fine... i would recommend an msd unit if your trying to run more than 17psi. trying to save for that now.

the car was running awesome. however, when i assembaled the engine, my buddy told me i didnt need to check any of the clearances if i was using a stock crank and standard size bearings. so i did a flat rate engine build and into the car in one day. i was beating on it one day when the engine was cold, and it spun a bearing. dont know if that was why, but it wasnt because of a lack of oil. the pan was full. Its going back together now, with everything plastigauged, throughly cleaned, etc. i got a chance to port the head while it was off. not done yet, but ill post some pics this week. it looks pretty good for a first-timer

everything is back together *cough plastigauged cough* correctly. I put together the engine in my living room to ensure it was dirt free, the utmost care was taken to ensure no dirt was on the bearings or the cyl walls. i also cleaned the walls with atf. The car is running great now, look for my thread on the head porting, it came out much better than i had anticipated. Right now im putting a y8 manifold on the z6, a b16 TB, and an adjustable cam gear. Im getting slicks for my birthday next week and ill let you know how i do at the track! If we ever set a date for dyno day in pittsburg, ill let you all know how much (or little) power it makes

?? let me see did all your bearing spin NO..... you posted times of 12?? on ebay to help sell your HF manifold .....the last time you ran a 12.sec pass with taht car your alarm clock went off.............................................
who runs 12.60 on street tires me or you? my motor is still running so what do you think
