Boost Controller.?

Re:Boost Controller.?
yeah to test the wastegate you can attach an airhose to it and set it at 9psi just to go over the 8psi on the first try. attach a vaccume hose to the end of the airhose and to the wastegate nipple. then turn on the air, check to see if the wg opens and look at the gauge on the compressor. you can do this if the turbo is mounted on the car too. just attach the wastegate vaccume hose to a compressor and turn on the compressor.

Re:Boost Controller.?
T the wg vac off the pcv valve, put breather filter on the valve cover, put in a new pcv valve, and T the bov off the charcoal emissions filer, you can T the boostgauge off the charcoal emissions filter also. don't T anything off the FPR. just check the intake manifold for 2 larger than normal vacuume hoses to T off. get some plastic Ts' that are 5/16" on the straight part of the T and 1/4" on the middle part. the middle part of the T is where you'd hook up the wg/bov to. for the nipple on the compressor housing-turbo, just take it off, fill it up with jb weld-let dry and install back on the compressor housing.

well, he never said he was gonna run an external wastegate so the wastegate hose should connect right to the compressor of the turbo....---- i think you guys confused him with all that t'ing off here and there...or maybe its just me

Re:Boost Controller.?
you can connect an external wastegate to the intake manifold too. the turbo spools up faster this way cause it opens the wastegate at the pressure the intakemanifold see, instead of the pressure the compressor housing sees.
