Default Boost timing Controller

Hey guys, i keep hearing talk of so many parts, and i can't seem to figure out what i actually need, as everyone has a different oppinion on what is really needed Will i need a BTM if i am using a Apexi Vafc. It's on a 90 Civic z6, with a 14b, and dsm injectors runing anywhere from 5-8Psi..Will this be necessary, or just an extra toy for higher boost? Oh, i also have an adjustable FPR..Man, i've bought most of my turbo parts, it's the engine/fuel managment where the $$$$ is.......

MSD 6BTM, PN 6462
Supercharged or turbo engines will benefit from the 6BTM in more ways than one. Not only do the full energy sparks help burn the fuel mixture, it allows the driver to retard the ignition timing based on the amount of boost being produced by the supercharger. The timing is adjusted from a dash
mounted **** and can be retarded 1 - 3° per pound of boost with a maximum of 15°. There is also a built-in adjustable rev control to protect the engine from over-rev damage.

sweet.
how much is that?

honestly, BTMS work great but on my experience, the setting is set pretty low when we have used them, in some cases they were set right at 0. But it is true if you have any type of detonation, you can just tune it right now. if you are interested in one, BLACKSI has one for sale.. I am sure you could talk him down in his price..

No it does not, basically the MSD 6btm, is an "Aftermarket ignition" its a MSD 6al with a BTM built in, they cost 320 bucks new... I think he is asking 275, its practically new, he used it for about a month or so, then took it off when he got his zdyne.

Make an offer, I belive its in the classifieds.
