Default Boost

The first time i put the turbo on, do I have to drive the car to get boost?? I tried reving the engine but it didnt give me much. on idle the boost guage reads -15?

you have vacuum in non boost conditions. the car has to suck air/fuel in rather than having it forced in. i supposed if you floored it in neutral you could get some boost. but it has to have time to build and i think you would have your engine wrapped out before it wcould build enough. i dunno though.

Ever car I have ever done a turbo setup on, you will need to have the engine under a load to get some boost.

But oddly enough, my friends dsm spools from just reving the ****** in netural, which is dangerous.

ohh ball bearings....

mine will to but that is with a high flow CFm air compressor haha
