Jeff I need the pictures of the posting on your ZC engine. I can't get the links from the website to work. anyone else have pictures of a posted block?

Do you have a picture of the intake side? I am trying to figure out what has to happen to the casting braces on the intake side of the motor that interfer with post placement on 1 and 4

Good idea, and very easy to do. Big thumbs up.

Planning on using one in tandem with a block guard that's been milled to the point of fragility for coolant flow reasons in a 300 whp D16A6 build up. She'll use B16 rods and JDM 1G Supra turbo pistons for those of you aware of the deal turbopanda on HT has going on.

 

i dont mean to hijack your thread but i have some questions about block posting that i figured i might as well ask since we're on the topic.

i've been doing some research on the various types of block reinforcement and i am fasinated by this technique. how much power can the engine take after posting (assuming that there is proper tuning)? how does it compare with close decked sleeves like Darton? and finally, would it be feasible as a DIY project?

 

so let me get this srt8 ull have to actually drill threw the block in order to do it fantastic...........lol

 

ya better than letting a piece of your sleeve blow through the block later.. if you want to go hardcore go with the golden eagle resleeving.. but i dont know how bad that would hurt cooling

 

I want to know how well they hold up really./ If you think about it the cylender moves slightly back and fourth but by putting all that force on a half inch screw end seals prety risky.. may just be me though.
