i completly agree about poor workmanship i,ve seen alot of it since i got into the car sene. its just on these forums its hard sometime to sort through the bull ---- and facts but this forum has alot of good information and from what i can tell a few good people with some knoledge to bring to the table so agian thanks all for the info and input i'm lookin forward to dive into my first turbo project

There is no cylinder shift problem. Breaching the headgasket when cylinder pressure spike 3+ times normal peak values due to detonation problems, but show me an engine that doesn't so that - the ones that don't consume the pistons/valves, and it costs more than a headgasket to fix.

well technically you would want the sleeve to be a ---- hair higher the deck of the block, sealing the coolant/oil passages isnt as tough a task as sealing thousands of pounds of cylinder pressure. youll obviously want the gasket to be sealed tighter then the coolant/oil areas as the max those will ever see is 16-20 psi.
