I honestly wouldnt do this to a daily driver, I think pinning and posting would be the better way to go for DD.

i think it would be an excellent alternative to block posting, or block guards. and it shouldnt be a problem with daily driving, as long as it had a little room up to before the head, and if it wasnt too thick, so hot spots wouldnt form on the sleeve. personally, i wouldnt do it for a daily, because the HP levels i would want a daily to be at are well within the range of stock sleeves, but it should be fine for a daily.

when the block heats up and expands what does the filler do does it expand with the block just wondering because i know they make special iron mix block filler to expand at the same rate as your block on cast iron blocks

good info... i might try this on my ls/vtec. but i should have a spare one on the side ready incase anything happens to it cuz it will be a semi daily driver. keep the info comin!

Gonna try this on my spare motor. Another thought could you do block posting and block guard how would that handle?

i know some one who has done this in thier race car and supporting huge numbers with it. think its worth looking into.

what about making a mold so when you pour in the filler you can make "pillars" on the sides of the cylinders so there is less blockage

i would think 5 or 6 "pillars" around each cyl would hold well enough

that's a good idea, no matter what though, i don't think i'd do this on a daily driver
