Yes, I already have a Walbro 255hp pump in the car. I had to upgrade my fuel pump as soon as I decided to move on to a larger then stock turbo, and higher than stock boost levels. The guy I linked to in the video, he's running a PTE SCM61 turbo, with the same pump I have. He is just about running out of pump though.

Now I'm not as spun up on Honda motors, but to those of you saying you'd rather just run race gas. If you're running race gas, I'm sure you're raising the boost to a pretty decent level when you're running race gas. I'd guess in that case, I'd think you guys also need to upgrade your fuel pumps from the stock ones so you can run higher boost levels. I could be wrong though.

Again, if you're just running some sort of 180fwhp street only setup, with minnimal fuel mods, well then yes E85 may not be for you if you have to upgrade your injectors and pump. But to make more power, usually you have to buy something, so having to spend an extra $90 on a fuel pump really isn't a big deal in my eyes. Power typically doesn't come free. All I'm saying is it is perfect for ME. I already have most of my fuel system setup. My 650cc injectors work good for my current setup on 92. But they are too small for e85. So the only thing I need to upgrade is my injectors, which like I said, in the end will not cost me anything since I can sell my old injectors. And I'd bet there's a few others on here that would be in the same boat as I am.

idk, i just ran some numbers, and e85 still seems like a crock of ---- to me. With a 11 gallon and gas at 2.40 a gallon, it costs 26.40 to fill. Now i get 330 miles to a full tanki, so if you work that out i'm getting something like 8 cents a mile....

i calculated out e85, 11 gallon tank, price at 2 bucks, 230 mile to the tank, and i get 9 cents per mile

Which is the better deal? Well, at least in my area.

Which is a better deal? Well I suppose that's based on your goals. If your goal, is to get the best MPG out of your car, well then I guess 87 Regular is what you are going to get. And if that is your goal, then I don't even see why you'd modify a car in the first place since more then likely you'll be using more fuel. Well unless you always drive like a granny, never get into boost ever, and then what's the point of modding your car if you're not enjoying the power gain.

Now I'm guessing your 2.40/gal number was 87 octane you were comparing to. I say that because where I live, e85 is on average of 40cents cheaper then 87, or 60cents cheaper the 92 (which is what I'm currently using in my talon). So we'll just go with that for now. So you said you will save 1 cent per mile by going with regular, because even though e85 is cheaper, you will get an additional 100 miles out of your tank of gas. That sounds reasonable to me. And again if all you care about is MPG, then on paper that looks like a better deal for someone focused on that goal. Because you will save 1 dollar on every tank of gas. For me, I fill up about once a week. So in my case, that would save me $52/year.

My goals for my car are a mix between Daily Drivabiliy, Performance, and Cost/MPG. I'm not rich, so I do need to watch MPG. But this is also a toy that comes out on the weekends. This is not my DD. But even if it was, and it meant I had to pay an additional penny/mile ($52/year), to be able to run a fuel that is 15 octane higher, and allows me to safely run an additional 5psi on the streets, well then that is worth it to me. Right now to run that extra boost, I go to the gas station and pump in some 111 for $5+/gallon. But now, I can constantly run that extra boost, and pay 60cents less/gallon then I do for 92.

If an extra penny/mile makes this fuel a crock of ----, what's your opinion about VP or C16 race fuel which goes for what, like 15/gallon or so.

They didn't call out a part number so I can't be 100% sure, but those look like they are the low impedance ford ones I'm talking about. They should work with some modification. Do not expect these to be a drop in application. Similar to DSM 450's, you will either need to turn down the top of the injector, or slightly open the holes in your fuel rail. Then you may have to play around with different seals/o-rings to find out what seals it up best.

I just looked on ebay after seeing your link. Just search 150lb. injectors or 160lb. injectors and you'll see a good bunch of them. One set is like around 400 for a set of 8. ---- you could just find a friend and split that with him, or sell the 2nd set, and you'd have them for a good price.

BTW the ones for sale on Summit's site, were not a good deal at all. And I deleted the others because they were all sold out. They claimed they had them in stock, until you placed an order, and then magically they were out. Then you'd call back and pretend to be someone else, and they'd tell you they had them. One of the places still has my money. We'll see if I ever get them.
