People have put down 300+ whp on stock Z6 motors with stock compression. It's only logical to think with even lower compression on the stock Z6 tuning would be easier and more power on pump gas could be made. How many Vitara setups do you see making a lot of horsepower? A lot being 400whp... 1? ---- you barely see any making 300whp and running 11's.

My previous statement still stands. Vitara pistons are gay as hell. Eat top ramen for a few months and get a good set of pistons. Don't half ass your pistons if your going to build the motor.

I say f22a1. 8.8:1 compression and 2.2 litres for a little more torque.

i never said they were "good" but they are better than stock .. sure if stock were lower c/r they'd be better, and if there were forged they'd be even better, but there not! vitaras > stock z6, they're cheaper and have hit higher hp numbers ;)

Your right, but still, a good set of pistons aren't that much more when you add what is costs to build the motor. Just do it right the first time, that's all I am trying to say.

W3rD. Boostedef9 or boosteded9? was running 11's a few years back with just a thicker headgasket and afc. only reason it blew was that he was using stock rods. for an extra 150 -200bux you can buys some forged pistons. why ---- that up?

f22 FTW....

Just picked up anouther complete f22 engine (in pieces) for 60$, and I picked up anouther head an block for free out of someone's garage. Cheaper then D blocks

i agree 100% vitaras are good for a low budget build, however if your budget is that low you arent going to see 350+ whp ... the only thing i disagree is sayn that stock ones would be just as good if they had lower c/r .. you have to looks at how much further down the ring lands are on a vitara compared to a z6 ;)

I think you can safely rev a stock z6 higher then an a6 thx to vtec and stronger valve train.

READ before typing you dumbass he means D15b= vtec not D15b7 =---- what i have.
