Re: best sohc turbod ?
Z6 > D15b
Finding extra parts willo be a bitch, unless you have a spare D15b laying around. When fook blew a ringland on his JDM D15b, I had a spare Z6 and he had another spare 1.6 something, none of that ---- fit right, gay pistons. |
Re: best sohc turbod ?
A6 nuckkass!! I love my boosted A6...runs strong!! perfect comp. ratio for boost. i think sohc vtec is just overrated. i think a soch vtec and a6 boosted hard runnning a good tune are the same ----! just my opinion

Re: best sohc turbod ?
I don't think it's overrated, nobody rates them high in the first place lol. It's just easier, they are already obd1 and more aftermarket for them.

Re: best sohc turbod ?
yes i have a z6 and its been boosted twice..its back to NA now but i had no problems...i also like the a6 a bit it has a good choice of rods and pistons ..a little head work and maybe a cam and a turbo a6 could be fun...but if you want to go big with a single cam just buy a Z6 ..im building a Z6 now i plan on making around 400hp with it...hopefully i'll achieve my goal by next spring :6

Re: best sohc turbod ?
stay away from d15b7.
no pull after 5500 rmp and flows like ----. I think you can safely rev a stock z6 higher then an a6 thx to vtec and stronger valve train. |
Re: best sohc turbod ?
vtec might not be ideal for boost or whatever people say, but i'm almost positive that a z6 head has larger and better flowing intake and exhaust ports than an a6 (not to mention more lift/duration, also helping to flow a lot more air), so for higher power goals with a stock head, i would say the z6 is the best bet. eh?

Re: best sohc turbod ?
a6 best non vtec sohc motor
z6 best vtec sohc motor |
