Appears to be so, but im not sure to tell which hx35 came on the 215hp truck vs the other models. but heres a chart of the wastegate psi on all the years.

gated @ 20ish psi stock.

Some turbos have electric solenoids attached but I believe it is for some kind of VNT system. Holsets are great over-engineered turbos. They had Map Width Enhancement grooves on applications well before Garrett.

Also if you are worried about late spool with that turbine housing or don't like the split scroll/internal gating of holsets... http://www.theturbotrader.com/produc...products_id=36

Lots of DSM guys have hit 600hp w/ these housings on HX40's
