Balla HX-35 and Turbo Manifold.

Got this in the mail the other day. Its balla SSAuto but with a couple braces it should be fine. welds look like they penetrated fine, so I don't think its gonna have many issues.

Now for the HX-35. Its pictured with a $1 to not only show size but also to prove just how much of a baller this jew boy is.

I picked the turbo up locally for $250. I felt I got a pretty good deal on it. Shaft is tighter than an unmarried devout Mormon girls -----. I'm real happy w/ it.

haha watch that wastegate you are goin to use an external wastegate right? that turbo is off a cummins isnt it? because the facory wastegate on those turbos is like 22 psi or something like that.

That is correct, it is off a cummins diesel... '96 I think, not positive. 22psi? I'm going to have to look into that, b/c that would be perfect. I wouldn't even need the external wg and boost controller. its going on a built bottom end w/ a built gsr head.

man... thats a big boy to be hanging off a shitty manifold.

I just picked up a H1C (older version of the HX35 essentially) and an external gated Bullseye Housing.

Is that a 12cm housing? I got an 18.5 housing if you want :S

pff, tune for no wastegate and straight boost

That turbo is a monster, lets hope that manifold can support it.

thats a pretty manifold for what it is. maybe if you weld a bracket on the dp and bolt it to the block like stock it would be easy extra support

I heard the SSAuto will hold up fine if its braced. I'm thinking rebar :D Lots of rebar. anyways, if i read the compressor maps right (which i probably didnt b/c they are confusing as all hell) it should boost around 4500 - 5000 ish on my 1.8L. Correct me if I'm wrong. Excuse my retardedness but would a bigger compressor housing create more boost lag, I'd imagine it would. If so, about what RPM would it spool at?

Yeah Hotrex's boosted at about 4900 with a top mount on an LS/VTEC.
