if i had to choose between a ***** manifold and ***** turbo, I'll get the ***** manifold all day long because if properly installed, it could perform just right for a reasonable period of time. Same applies to WG, BOV, IC and all the plumbing. For the turbo however, it's a complete different story: a chinese turbo immitation WILL cost you less to start with, but will fail on you in no time, resulting in costly downtime, replacement or repair costs, making this choice more expensive than having choosen a dependable turbo to start with, even if it meant delaying the installation time by a few extra days/weeks of money saving to do it right. same applies to engine management, you don'T want to cut corners short on that either.
P.S.: Don't get me wrong. The above is not necessarily the thruth. It's just my 2¢.

Eagle h-beams or similar are going to be your number 1 choice for rods. Shot-peened or not, stock d-series rods just can't handle 300hp.
dude did you miss the sig at the bottom of my post im a ase master tech, guess they give the patch to every john dick and harry huh there are other reason for obd2 beyond just emissions

you convert to obd1 because you cant chip obd2 computers, that is the only reason.

your gonna trust your whole motor to a ebay wastegate? yeah cause if that fails it cant possible do any damage...

if the turbo ***** on you then nothing bad is gonna happen, some chinky turbo manifold that cracks and your turbo and WG fall off however will make your car pretty hard to drive.

oh and i thought this was home made turbo not hey i bought a shitty kit on ebay turbo

Sure, a wastegate that decides to no longer open all of a sudden can be damaging. That's for sure! But I did not ear too many story of sudden overboosting due to a chinese wastegate failure. If they are defective, they don'T work from the start. When they do work (most of the times) they can work for a very long time.
i 100% agree that an authentic brand name wastegate is certainly more reliable but as you say, it's home made turbo and we have to accept reasonable compromises where it'S possible. as far as the chinese WG's go, i would say yes, they do make sense for a budget minded setup. the ***** turbos however, is a whole different story. Even if it doesn't necessarily damage the engine when it fails, it's still a major and expensive show stopper IMO!

Yeah, I get what you are saying... when I get the kit, I was gonna sell it on ebay and get a real t3/4 anyways.

Ive learned alot so far from reading your guys' posts. So Do you guys thin Its possible to make 300hp on this setup?

The "guys" is just me.
Your idea to purchase the whole kit, sell the ***** turbo and replace it for a good one is an excellent one. Although I am sure the ***** t3/t4 is in theory able of the power gains. only it's reliability is doubtfull.

Please, confirm the size of your intercooler core. If it's 2.5 x 5.5 x 21, this one supports only 290 HP
if it's 3x 6.4 x 18.... it supports 310 HP. (that's the flow specs for real garrett/spearco cores so the ***** ones should be even less)
So please, double check your IC core size. You may need to get a bigger chinese intercooler such as a 9" or even 12" high one. No biggy, they're cheap. Just re-sell that nice turbo + Ic ***** combo on ebay!

for the rest, you're all set, it's all 300 HP ready! ***** or not!

blaast you sound like a retard. You didn't mention one thing about fuel management or his rods, and that will be the things he needs to worry about the most, not some shitty ebay turbo kit.
