I found this wastegate adapter on ebay last night. Has anyone ever used one? I figured that it would save me a from buying a new manifold with an external wastegate flange.

 

As long as your oil drain doesn't sit too low it will work fine.

 

If its on a honda the oil return might be too low (as said above). My old roomate used one on a topmount setup on a volvo . It worked fine

 

Thanks for the replies. I had about 5 inches from my turbo to my oil pan before. I assume that the adapter is about 2 inches thick. I'll have see if it will work. Its going on a d16y8.

 

it looks alot thicker than 2" to me but i could be wrong

 

trust me don't buy this ----. It will not work. I've got one and it makes the oil line sit WAY TOO LOW nig.
I had to just scrap it and buy a cast mani off egay. Save your money and do it right the first time.

 

Thanks man. I found out that its about 2.5'' thick. It's not going to leave me much height for my oil line. I guess I'm going to buy a new manifold...
