What year are we talking here? I have Alldata at work.

You know, the Dodge engineers maintain a presence on srtforums.com, there are dedicated forums to ask them questions in. Now, Holset is owned by Cummins and are supposed to start being badged as Cummins at some point in the future, so this doesn't guarantee you'll get to speak with an engineer about the circuit design, but it's a real chance to see if you can get a Dodge engineer to give you a referral to a Cummins/Holset engineer.

Somehow I don't think they're going to give me the serial communication protocol for the Holset actuator. That's privileged information and likely non-public. Not that it couldn't "leak out"...

It may be, good point, but I am almost wholly certain that in the near future it will have to use a standardized protocol by law.

What? Are you saying there is legislation that will take effect somewhere in the world that regulates the message format of a variable geometry turbocharger actuator? ???

I prefer to keep most of my projects on the down low until they're nearly complete. I tend to get more work done that way. My car will remain naturally aspirated for at least another 4 months. Expect to hear something around that time.

Thanks for all the information. Hopefully someone will be able to use it to help figure out how to really use one of the stock actuators.
