Your oil line seems to be totally wrong. It must be wide(at least twice as wide as the feed line), and preferably as short as possible. It must not have any dips in it as well. Remember that oil is gravity fed, and there is no pressure in the return line.

I bet that you blew the seals on the turbo, and that's what causing all the smoke. However, your turbo may still be okay.

Can you get a better picture of the oil return line? Preferably a side shot.

The oil return line is ok... it flows like it's supposed to. It's just the oil seal that's blown... Is it possible to replace just that one seal? How much would it approximately cost for that ONE part, and the labour?

another thing you should check is the oil pressure at the turbo oil inlet... if it's to high it'll try forcing to much oil though the berring and cause the drain to back up.

check the oil drain 1st... but i'd look at the pressure next if the drain does't fix it.

If you're worried about the coolant line problem just leave them dis-connected. Because from what I've heard with water cooled turbo's that at only 6 PSi 8 at the highest don't really need the water going to them. This is just what I've heard and someone correct me if I'm wrong.

We looked at the car last night. The oil return line is fine. We pulled it out of the oil pan and we held it at the same height it would be in if it was in the oil pan and it was flowing just fine. (and all over the block when we took it out of the oil pan, lol).

The problem, is a seal. One of the four bolts holding the exhaust housing to the center section got sheered off and it wont seal properly.

But the turbo DOES work, trust me , I can account for that.

Yes, except for the blown oil seal, (and a cloud of burned oil) the turbo spools, and it feels wicked...
We just have to resolve the problem of a charge pipe to TB connection, 'cause it notoriously fall off under boost.

But other than that my first experience with my boosted car was AMAZING... The car basically flew..
I'm new to this whole Honda Turbo scene, but in the end the results are well worthwhile.

I can't wait to get this oil seal fixed, so I can put everything back, and start driving it...

Yea I can't wait to put my turbo on my ZC. I jusr ordered my AFC which will be here on friday and now all I have to do it buy some SS braided lines for the feed and a optima battery so I can relocate it my battery to free up some room. The turbo I got with the kit was in amazing condition. The car it got taken off of had only 1,200miles on it and the user who I bought the kit from didn't have it on that long and the craftsmenship of the kit was well worth the money. Alot of my friends are running the greddy kit with their civics and I was set on buying the greddy until I found this site and relized how easy and simple it was to go junkyard/homemade set-up. The hardest part is just finding some of the parts. I already had a kit kind of pieced together when I bought the pre-made kit that I was using a T3 SVO turbo on. I was gonna sell the two SVO T3's that I have but now I'm gonna hold on to them for when I build up my next motor for crazy boost ( Safely.. as in not having to worry about the motor blowing ). Hey keep us updated though.

Peter you said you needed a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 silicon coupler right? That would fix the TB piping problem?

Yeah, the silicone reducer that I'm looking for the charge piping to the TB is a 2 1/4" to 2 1/2"..
(The charge pipe is 2 1/4", and the TB, I believe is 52mm..... is that correct? Does anybody know?)
