Your better off spending that 100 dollars on a chipped ecu and have way better results than buying a brand new FMU. Now if you had a fmu for free, and nothing else.. sure throw it on there. Driving a turbocharged honda with 0 fuel/spark management is just completely stupid. Ya it may "feel good" or appear to be running fine for a couple days/weeks whatever, but you are easily doing long term damage. Trust me, I think I've learned a little bit over the years.

Here, do this.. find someone that has a extra coolant temp sensor. D/B/H series honda, any year (they are all the same) It's on the side of the cylinder head 17 or 19mm deep socket takes it out. Then go unplug your Coolant temp sensor in your car, and plug this extra one in. Just zip tie the extra sensor somewhere in the engine bay. This basically tells the ecu that the car is always cold and will run pretty rich. (yes it will idle kinda crap) but its good for 4psi on stock injectors. Its basically does the same thing as the "Black Box" that use to come with the greddy kit on 92+ civics. Also back the timing off 3-4 degrees.

Thats enough right there to make you sleep better at night.

You still stuck on that damn FMU crap? Jeez...12:1 is one of the more common ratios for FMU's...it has nothing to do with his basemap. And yes, it meant it that his ecu was chipped. But for all we know (depending on what basemap was used) it might have already been bumped up a little to run a boosted setup. A basemap is pretty much just a basic starting point. Obviously I can see you need to do alot more reading in these forums, and alot less posting of stupid questions.

1. Do not drive your car without fuel managment or.. this will happen (see below)

http://draglab.com/20002002/blown/bb161.jpg

2. Your check engine is coming on because the stock map sensor is freaking out seeing boost, and throwing a Map sensor fault. This will make the car run like ---- when the DTC is triggered.

and to fix these 2 things...

1. Send your ECU to one of our Chippers (I recommend xenocron) to get your ecu chipped and get setup with a semi decent base map.

2. A set of DSM 450cc injectors and resistor pack.

Until then I dont want to see any more posts about you driving your car at 7psi and dont waste your time with a FMU.

Good luck,
Jeff

Here this is what you need to do to chip your ECU with turbo edit etc, Its right off xenocrons page, hes a great guy and highly recomended.

http://-------------/te.php?page=starting

also read through the rest of the information, by clicking the links at the top, basemapping, fuel tuning, etc.

I dont even have a chipped ECU yet, but through Xenocrons page I already have a Basemap for the set up I will be running burned on a chip.

Now I just need a good car to boost =)

Read all info you can off the page I linked you before you come back with more questions on the same thing.

Good luck

lol thats because it is "busting up"

I had a friend like you, he boosted on all stock everything 10 psi T3 turbo on a dx motor
it would boost sorta ok to 3500 rpms then bust up like crazy
if he let out of it he could drive real slow if he floored it it busted up real bad
that motor lasted about a week lol
