yep, i am finally boosted.
it all starts
your everyday, unboosted, 175,000 mile D16 that is ready for boost.
hidden SMIC, which i can get more pictures of, it was kinda a pain in the ***, i had never really seen one mounted, or how it was mounted, but after ------ with it for awhile, and a few beers, i was able to make it work like i wanted it to. the only thing holding it is one peice of steel welded to the frame, then bolted it up. it holds solid as hell. not visable at all from the front, a little visible from the inner fender well
waiting for the turbo
tapped oil pan
tuner toys oil line adaptor. this wasnt as hard as i thought it was gonna be.
the homemade gauge pod. bacially, i took a hose clamp, put it around the gague, then took the turbo ID plate and used it to support the gauge. i will post a picture later of it inside the car. the shitty line that autogauge sends with there gauge is stupid. so i just cut it right out of the outlet, just as you can see, then bought some vaccum line that goes around the line which autogauge supplies. -then of coarse tapped into the IM. its working great.
yes, while grinding away at the "webbing" on the block to make room for the acuater, i put a ------- hole in the block. jb weld to the rescue. its holding fine *fingers crossed*
after ------- the block up, i said ---- it and kevin and i made our own acuater. a peice of chain, and a spring. that is working great also. right now, its boosting about 6psi. (it also acts as a MBC if you move the spring )
installed
kevin doing up my injectors
i came home to my wonderful wife who had a bowl of homemade brocolii soup, steak, and a baked potato waiting on me
overall, all went really really good. saturday we started on it about 2, it was ------- pouring down rain
and about 50degrees. today, it was freezing *****! if the wind wouldnt have been blowing like crazy, it would have not to bad for install weather.
now for the turbo, its a T3, 42/48, DSM SMIC, 450's, uberdata, HF manifold, and BMC adaptor plate. charge pipes are crush bends, and my couplers i got from home depot. oil lines are stealthmode.
Overall, i have about $500 in the entire thing. -including a new clutch -well used, but you get the idea. should be here by the end of the week for next weekend project.
big thanks for kevin who let me use his car-port, and the uberdata. we had a good time!
he will post more pictures and a few vids monday.
he also was helping on a little project, he will explain. it was a good weekend for HMT SE crew

Is that you Kyle?
Oh ---- man, that's great. Glad to hear you got it going. That sucks about your block. DOn't you remember me saying "If you see coolant you went too far"? :P
We'll have to post our setups over on Honda-Tech at the same time to see how bad we get flamed.

no coolant leaked. i pretty much stopped when i saw the ------ hole. it was only about the size of a pencil eraser.
ohh yeah, and i didnt put in a O2 sensor, and no down pipe yet.
the WG chatter is insane sounding. it sounds very bad ***. almost to the point where i dont want a BOV, i like hearing that chatter. :P
