Ya sure eventually if you run a stock d series everyday hard it will blow but me and 3 of my friends run our cars everyday on lower boost and turn it up on track night, we have only blown one engine and that was because of lack of fuel. the engine that blew had no injectors which we all know equals not enough fuel for high boost. but other than that we have been as high as 17lb of boost with a stock engine every friday night at the track with no problems.

He used a T3/T4 garrett turbo. He did something bone headed and over heated the car and warped the head, then took it back to the dyno and it HYDRO-LOCKed on him.. He was on race gas during the 302whp runs @ 17psi, but ran 93 oct. @12-13psi daily for like 3 months... His car also ran 11.80... It was powered by the all mighty AFC HACK also ( I've asked how he got it to run 17psi and he just shrugs basiclly ). It had a lot of dyno time since he works at a dyno place.. I tend to agree with the other guys about the reliabily of 300hp on a D-series.... Its a time bomb... But I also think that 300 at the track and 200 daily is two totally different things... CHEAP PLUG TIME !!! I'd bet the SVO turbo I'm selling for $195shipped would make 250whp with-in the AFC-hacks boost limits !!! .60.63 60 trim !!! wow too many people cry about spool up times... i had full boost by 4100, quit bitching about it because your not gona spool at 6000 witha straight t3 60/63 i guarantee it...

BoostedED9 my car ran 14.6 at 94mph last week at Brandingtion. After I get another clutch and MBC ( so we can adjust the WG on the fly ) I'll be coming by your shop/dyno. Coastal towards Tampa is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. |

I say you need a thick headgasket, a big turbo and some good fuel manegement.

I agree. Garage Advance = great tuning.. reasonable price. We had a dyno day there, and my friend has his turbo sol tuned there. Its nice. =)
