yea, those do look better than orhers.
i'm going w/ a6 posted block, srp's 9.1's, either eagle(if the guy ever comes through)or ls rods (already purchased and machined), turbo edit(will try) or zdyne eng mgt, 14b turbo, 1gen DSM BOV, TMIC, 450's, blah, blah, blah.

i'm gonna try to push 275-300 whp w/ this setup.

if ur thinking bout that kind of power... definitely do a wb o2 dyno tuning session.... don't skimp!

just remember: torque gets u there, horsepower keeps u there! the tq #'s are just as much as important (if not more) as the hp #'s!

Listen with no problem will you be able to pull 250whp out of a d series, i live in east central FL and i have like 4 friends who are pulling that much out of their civics no problem, i have a civic coupe with a sohc turbo and i am probably right around 200whp now, i just need some injectors and i will be good to go. just make sure you keep enough fuel going to the engine and you could easily pull more like 300hp out of it.

No sorry they wont go anywhere until more like 300hp, i have several friends who have done it and are running high 12's with stock rods, the only thing done to these engines are head gasket and head studs

how many friends are several friends.. and what sorts of proof you got? You can see all sorts of problems that happen when you push to hard, and you are the guy saying different. Anybody have some dyno sheets?

I completely believe him. Soome people run their ---- on the breaking point. They'll hold it now but they'll eventually blow. I have a buddy who does this all the time. He never leaves the track with a running car but he get a couple really fast runs in.

Bottom line is the metallurgic properties of the motor can't handle it. It may handle it for a while but one day it does go.

My d-series has only headstuds and a headgasket, maybe I'll hit 500hp

A dude that lives in Orlando by me, pushed 302whp with just head studs and 2mm head gasket on a 160K mile D16Z6 with no port work or anything... stock cam... A6 intake !!!

He used a T3/T4 garrett turbo.

He did something bone headed and over heated the car and warped the head, then took it back to the dyno and it HYDRO-LOCKed on him.. He was on race gas during the 302whp runs @ 17psi, but ran 93 oct. @12-13psi daily for like 3 months... His car also ran 11.80... It was powered by the all mighty AFC HACK also ( I've asked how he got it to run 17psi and he just shrugs basiclly ). It had a lot of dyno time since he works at a dyno place..

I tend to agree with the other guys about the reliabily of 300hp on a D-series.... Its a time bomb... But I also think that 300 at the track and 200 daily is two totally different things...

CHEAP PLUG TIME !!!
I'd bet the SVO turbo I'm selling for $195shipped would make 250whp with-in the AFC-hacks boost limits !!! .60.63 60 trim !!! E-mail for pics !!! rebuilt 1K miles ago by garrett !!! perfect shape and I REALLY need a new clutch ( reason for selling ).

I can give you/him the e-mail addresses of about 100 people who'd rather have the .63 turbine housing over the .48 housing, but what do I know... The housings are completly interchangable, the .48 will fit right on the SVO turbo too. I know, I used the volvo .48 housing to protect the SVOs turbine wheels when I was coating the .63 turbine housing.
