2008 Daewoo Matiz Turbo by Boost Freaks
#43
Hey guys,
So even if the power upgrade hasn't come yet (on it's way though, I just require more parts as there's always some improvement to be made from what was originally intended for turning up the boost) , I've taken the car to the drag strip for a second time.
I've managed an improved ET on the 1/4 mile pass (lower by 0.814 sec from last september) by just way of better traction and a fully broken in clutch.
You can check out the following video where I've made some notes about the current stats of the car.
I'd say it runs pretty neat for such a low lever of power, however it's not the drag strip that the car feels most comfortable on, but rather hauling *** through windy roads at high speeds

Sure thing, working on a hybrid turbo setup for increased boost range and some added mods to support 100 hp (or close to it).
For now I'm limping N/A without an exhaust. I never thought an engine so small could make so much noise lol.

A taller wheel (keeping the same inducer/exducer diameters) with a newer blade design technology, along with a high heat resistance thermal wrap for the exhaust manifold will hopefully reduce spool time a bit (boost threshold currently sitting at half the rpm range measured on 4'th gear).
I've also considered a turbo blanket, unfortunately there's not so much space for it to fit. Also, thermal coatings for exhaust in Europe don't seem to be good enough to support a petrol engine EGTs, so that would be a waste of money.
