Im using a Garrett t2.5 Actuator on my tdo4h, so im sure any one will do? i have seen super actuaters/HIGH Performance actuators advertised on the net, that cost alot of $$$$ dont know if its BS or not.

So if money was no object what Tdo5H whould you guys buy?

For a short term upgrade I'm looking at a tdo5hr/10.5t/20g that flows over 700cfm to slap on my Evo 8.

Yeah a td05h 20G is the biggest compressor wheel I've ever seen mated to a TD05H wheel. After that it steps up to td06 and then td06h. The 20G compressor wheel is 52.5mm which is decent compared to the "big" 16g which is 46.5mm and the GT35R (actually a 56 trim GT40 wheel from what I gather) which is right around 61mm.

700cfm is a lot of flow for a TD05H turbo. Considering a 10cm TD06H 20g can do 650cfm I'd say that's impressive almost unbelievable out of a TD05H based turbo. I can't see there being any other TD05H combinations that can produce more.

The 14b is a great turbo for a D-series considering their single finned impeller is designed for quick spool because of how the high speed air hits it as opposed to the dual finned design of the "G" wheels which is designed with more attention towards mid-top range power.

The 14b was meant to be a stock turbo and deliver instant response. There's a reason the boost pressure was 10psi on a DSM. 10psi is perfect for a 14b to last a long time and stay in its efficiency range. They can handle upwards of 20psi efficiently, but don't expect them to last even with their oil/water cooled bearing housing and 360 degree thrust bearing. 405cfm is about all they can muster anyway. They're not ideal for making maximum horsepower lolz.

A 14b is way better than the stock 2G T25 though. It can only flow 330cfm and is ------- tiny. Well the compressor wheel is decent sized, but the damn turbine wheel is downright miniature. A td05h turbine wheel vs the t2small wheel looks like a P-trim Garrett turbine wheel compared to a stage 1 T3 wheel lol.

There's a reason I have like 6-7 T25's laying around and I can't keep a single 14b on the shelf for more than a few days lol.

See this...Forced Performance Green upgrade for Evo's... http://store.forcedperformance.net/m...e=Lancer-Turbo

Sure it's pricey, but a worthwhile upgrade over my stock tdo5hr/16g6.

There are larger variants of it out there, but most garrett gt37's and larger could blow it out of the water cfm wise.

No. The "R" would indicate baller bearing status yo. There are definitely journal bearing variants of a GT37.
